Fulham have broken a 2 game loosing streak, drawing 1-1 with Birmingham. Keeper Mark Schwarzer was named man of the match for a brilliant display in between the sticks.
The first half consisted of half chances which were easily saved by both keeper, neither team looked too threatening. Fulham did hit the back of the net when Ashley Young rang clear and rounded Renan before smashing it into the net. But that joy turned to dispair when he was called offside- much to the amazement of the player and fans.
The second half saw 25 minutes of Birmingham dominance, and they eventually made that dominance pay when Alberto Paloschi drilled a shot past Schwarzer to score the first goal of the game. But Fulham replied within two minutes when Ashley Young made up for his earlier off side. He embarked on a foraging run before smashing the ball into the back of the net. 1-1. Del Piero had a chance to win the game in the 87th minute but pulled his volley just wide.
